Beat the Heat in Viera!
We’re in the thick of the summer season now, and you are not alone if you think it is too hot to be spending full days outside. Luckily in Viera we have tons of indoor activities for all ages.
For those active adults, there are many gyms and workout classes in the community. Pro-Health & Fitness Center is a two-story fitness and wellness center complete with training equipment, aquatic classes, basketball courts, racquetball courts, and more! Burn Boot Camp in the Avenue Viera has full body strength and conditioning classes offered at a variety of paces. For a list of their weekly class schedule, click here. Club Pilates, also in The Avenue Viera, offers a wide variety of pilates classes. They have different leveled classes with amazing instructors to guide you through the exercises. For kids wanting to get some energy out, Urban Air Trampoline Park is the perfect place to take them! With a lot of different play and challenge areas, this place has something for everyone including trampolines, rope course climbing walls, virtual reality, obstacle courses and that’s just the beginning! If you are looking for more of a relaxed way to spend your days indoors, look no further! AMC Theaters at The Avenue Viera offers summer movie deals throughout the week with tickets as low as three dollars! You can find tickets on their website. All throughout Viera, we have tons of model homes available to tour. If you are looking for a new place to live, or even just want some ideas for your own place, touring model homes is a fun way to spend the day. Anywhere you see green and white Viera flags is where you can find a model home! You can find model homes in the following neighborhoods: Adelaide, Aripeka, Avalonia, Del Webb at Viera, Pangea Park, Reeling Park North, and Reeling Park South.
Viera has tons of restaurants with specialty nights and deals throughout the week! Duran Golf Club and Tradewinds Restaurant has tons of events throughout the year. Live bands, trivia, comedy nights and more can all be found at Tradewinds Restaurant. One of our newer restaurants, Urban Prime, is now adding entertainment to what they have to offer. You can find live music, wine/cheese tastings, and even karaoke right in the heart of Viera Town Center. Check out their Facebook page for additional information on special events. There are tons of daily / nightly events at many more restaurants including Walk-Ons, Pizza Gallery and Grill, 28 North Gastropub, World of Beer and more.
If you are interested in learning a new skill or learn more about a topic, Viera has just the stuff for you! Sur la Table is not only a culinary store, but they also offers cooking classes right in The Avenue Viera. They offer a wide variety of classes and foods to choose from, where you can find on their website. Also in The Avenue Viera is Thrive Local! Thrive Local offers a wide range of classes for all ages, such as painting workshops to building your own plushie! You can find list of classes and events held at Thrive Local on their website. Viera Regional Park has more to offer than sports fields and playgrounds! They offer lots of classes and events within their community center for all ages!
Just outside Viera, you can find some other fun things to enjoy with the whole family. The Space Coast Ice Plex is a fun way to beat the heat for the whole family. The Ice Plex has open skating offered to the public weekly. Check out their website for their open skating hours! Route 7 Adrenaline Warehouse located just off of US-1 in Suntree, is a thrilling entertainment center with tons of attractions. Arcade games, go-karting, obstacle courses, and laser tag are just some of the fun activities they have to offer. Route 7 offers camps, leagues, and private events for all ages. Let’s not forget about using our brains this summer! Be sure to check out the Suntree/Viera Public Library for all things reading. The library also has events throughout the summer such as book bingo and story times!
